Miguel Ángel

Dr. Miguel Ángel de la Casa Lillo is a Full Professor at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche in the area of ​​Materials Science. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Granada (1994) and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Alicante (1999) in the Materials Science doctoral program.

He has extensive experience managing both national and international projects, the latter funded by the European Union in the footwear sector. His work focuses on integrating research into different educational levels through curriculum development, emphasizing sustainability and circular economy models. His current research interests include materials characterization, ultrasonic processes for non-destructive testing, and biomedical and healthcare applications.

From 2015 to 2023, he served as Director of the Higher Polytechnic School of Elche. He is currently co-director of the “San Crispín” Footwear Chair at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.
