Georgios Koronis

Dr. Georgios Koronis is Assistant Professor at the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean, holding a Ph.D. in Engineering Design & Advanced Manufacturing. His research revolves around creative product design by integrating innovative tools like LLMs and VR to transform the design process. He has participated in various European and international R&D projects, including initiatives for the Ministry of Education on innovative learning environments and Erasmus+ partnerships for digital skills and circular economy education. His professional background pairs research experience in Singapore with industrial roles as an industrial designer in Greece, managing end-to-end development for maritime and automotive applications. He has coordinated various undergrad and postgrad courses, including foundational modules like including “Design Theory and Methodology”, “Ideation and Preliminary Design” as well as specialized subjects such as “Detailed Product Design”.
