Sofia Kyratzi

Dr. Sofia Kyratzi is an Assistant Professor of Geometric Modeling and Computer Aided Design at the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering of the University of the Aegean. She received her PhD (2007) degree in Computer Graphics and Geometric Modeling from University of the Aegean. She also holds an MSc (2002) in Medical Informatics and a BSc (2000) in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research interests include the development of computational tools for geometric and solid modeling, 3D parametric modeling with design intent, surface modeling, sketch-to-solid methods, and computer aided sketching. Her research has led to journals and conference publications in many leading scientific journals. Her teaching experience includes courses on “Computer-Aided Design”, “Engineering Drawing”, “Parametric Modeling”, “Geometric Modeling”, and “Design for Additive Manufacturing”.
